About Basil Fakhri Deeb Al-Khabass

Basil Fakhri Deeb Al-Khabass is a passionate Science teacher with a Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) from the University of Bradford, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Sunderland, and Qualified Teaching Status from Durham SCITT. He also holds sport qualifications as a Level 1 Coach and Level C Judge with England Boxing.

Basil has been closely involved with his local mosque since childhood, organising talks and helping establish a youth club. As a new member of the mosque’s committee, he brings valuable experience to help it grow.

He has also played an active role in Islamic outreach, founding Straight Path Islam and organising public dawah events, debates, and seminars. His charity work includes organising the “Dawn till Dusk Challenge” during Ramadan, which received media coverage from BBC Tees and CVFM.
