About Imam Mohamed Elyas Hasan

My name is Imam Mohamed Elyas Hasan, and I have served as an Imam in Middlesbrough since 2003. Over the past two decades, I have supported the Teesside community through guidance on faith, spirituality, and the various challenges of modern life. My role as an Imam involves offering counsel on personal and social issues, helping individuals maintain a balance between their faith and contemporary realities.

I am dedicated to providing spiritual support and advice to those in need, whether at Abu Bakr Mosque or on campus. I strive to foster a positive and welcoming environment, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable seeking faith-based guidance. My mission is to help strengthen the spiritual well-being of the community, empowering individuals to overcome obstacles in their personal and spiritual journeys.
